On two unforgettable nights in February 2025, Jess McAvoy took the stage with their live band for a raw, electrifying performance of The Search—a one-person rock musical about the relentless pursuit of self-truth.

Blending powerful storytelling with incredible songwriting and performance, The Search is a deeply personal yet universal journey of liberation, transformation, and the struggle to reclaim one’s voice. Drawing from their experiences as a non binary immigrant artist who navigated the 90’s in Australian music, McAvoy invites you into an intimate, high-voltage exploration of identity, resilience, and the shifting selves within us all.
